The Roebbelen Center in Roseville is proud to host the first-ever Girls California Live 23 tournament, which will bring together some of the most elite high school basketball players from around the country. This three-day event will draw an estimated 4,000 participants and spectators, generating a significant boost to the Placer Valley economy – with projected revenue totaling over $1 million. Daily admission to the tournament at The Grounds (700 Event Center Drive) is only $10 per person, and the action begins each day at 9 am and continues into the evening.

With 12 full-length basketball courts and a welcoming Northern California atmosphere, the Bay Area Basketball Coaches Association management team was thrilled to choose Placer Valley as the tournament’s venue. Players can look forward to four or five CIF-approved games during this incredible event!
High School Basketball Powerhouses
Witness some of the most talented girls’ high school basketball teams in America, including renowned powerhouses such as Archbishop Mitty of San Jose, La Jolla Country Day of San Diego, Folsom, Windward of Los Angeles, Camas (Washington state), South Medford (Oregon), Bishop O’Dowd of Oakland and Cardinal Newman of Santa Rosa, as they showcase their soon-to-be NCAA Division I players. This is an incredible opportunity to have top-level talent right in your backyard.
Morgan Cheli, UConn-committed guard of Archbishop Mitty, Kamryn Mafua, reigning Sacramento Bee All-Metro Player of the Year and University of California-committed of Folsom High School, and Devin Cosgriff of Bishop O’Dowd, who has received several offers from NCAA Division I schools, will all be part of this exciting event. It is a testament to Sacramento’s commitment to excellence to host an event like this and provide these girls with a platform to compete at the highest level.

Girls California Live 23 will provide an invaluable opportunity for top-of-the-class players, allowing them to showcase their basketball skills and demonstrate their leadership and teamwork in front of numerous Division I women’s basketball coaches. Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills is proud to have fifteen girls playing in the Girls Live California tournament. Head Coach Steven White of the girls’ basketball team is looking forward to seeing how the athletes interact with their teammates and demonstrate their elite performance to fans.

Girls California Live 23 is one of the 14 highly esteemed NCAA-approved tournaments for female athletes. It is gaining attention from passionate fans and those curious to catch a glimpse of future stars such as Aliyah Boston or Caitlin Clark, who recently attended the University of Iowa. Women’s basketball has been flourishing in recent years with more viewership and attendance than ever before. For instance, ESPN reported that the Women’s Final Four Semifinal game had more than 4.5 million viewers, an impressive 66% increase compared to the previous year. Similarly, the opening rounds of the WNBA season saw a 21% rise in attendance compared to last year.
