Supporting the Placer Breast Cancer Foundation

The Hot Pink Fun Run is proud to donate all proceeds to the Placer Breast Cancer Foundation, a dedicated group of breast cancer survivors and community activists. Through their tireless work, they have raised funds to support new research, outreach, and health education opportunities for the region. This noble cause is one that the Hot Pink Fun Run is proud to support.

Raising Awareness for Breast Cancer

The Hot Pink Fun Run is an uplifting and empowering community event that unites individuals with the common goal of raising awareness for breast cancer. This year’s festivities include a 10K, 5K, and 1-mile walk/run, starting and ending at Civic Center Plaza on Vernon Street in Downtown Roseville. The warm and inviting atmosphere encourages participants to run/walk in honor or memory of a friend or loved one affected by breast cancer. Carol Garcia, the co-founder of The Placer Breast Cancer Foundation, said of the event: “It’s a day of celebration where women, men, and children not only participate but often honor a loved one or someone they know who has been impacted by breast cancer.” With the Hot Pink Fun Run, families can have fun while learning about the importance of breast cancer prevention.

All event participants will receive a tech shirt, pancakes, and their choice of beer or mimosa. Those who are not running can still support the Placer Breast Cancer Foundation by donating $20 and enjoying the pancakes and beverages. Furthermore, the Roseville Firefighters with Roseville Firefighters Local 1592 will cook the pancakes for us. This is a fantastic opportunity to come together as a community to make a lasting impact and to celebrate those impacted by breast cancer.
