The City of Roseville has rightly planned in its FY2023-24 budget for a sizeable capital improvement program of approximately $130 million, which will feature 87 projects directed to improve the quality of life of its citizens. This budget will consist of investments such as electric distribution system improvements, cyber security updates, construction of a multi-field Soccer Complex, potable water wells, park rehabilitations, and several roadway upgrades.

The City of Roseville is proud to announce the approved FY2023-24 budget, which totals $784 million and includes an impressive capital improvement program of approximately $130 million, featuring 87 projects. These infrastructure improvements demonstrate the city’s commitment to enhancing quality of life for its citizens and providing the best possible services. Many of these projects will span multiple years and may begin with planning, design, and other preparatory work in FY2023-24, with construction commencing in subsequent fiscal years. Among the significant improvements are road resurfacing, upgrades to the Roseville Soccer Complex, and system improvements to utilities.

This budget also includes investments in park rehabilitations, construction of the Roseville Soccer Complex with 10 fields and a universally accessible playground, design of multiple neighborhood parks, and use of the Fiddyment house and its surroundings at Pistachio Regional Park. Additionally, electric distribution system improvements, advanced metering infrastructure project covering electric and water equipment, design of the Utility Operations Center, sewer collection system pipelines rehabilitation, restoration of the foul air odor collection system, and new potable water wells will all be part of this exciting initiative.

The City of Roseville is proud to be making a series of significant technology and roadway upgrades. Cybersecurity updates, the replacement of the Police Department’s records management system and Mutual Aid Repeaters infrastructure, and the Public Records Request project are among the many innovative technological advancements that will benefit the community. Additionally, several roadway improvements have been planned in the Los Cerritos and Roseville Heights neighborhoods, as well as traffic signal and roadway improvements for the Roseville Soccer Complex, Roseville Parkway widening, continuation of the multi-year Sun City roadway resurfacing project, and the extension of Roseville Parkway and closure of the gap between Washington and Foothills Boulevard, including a four-lane bridge over the railroad tracks.

Additionally, the city is creating Dry Creek Greenway East with construction of Phase 1 between Darling Way and Rocky Ridge Drive, designing a three-mile-long paved trail between Riverside Avenue and Cook Riolo Road, designing a paved trail through Mahany Park open space, purchasing electric buses and vans, constructing a zero-emission charging depot, improving fleet services infrastructure, and repairing Compressed Natural Gas vehicles. In order to provide mitigation for development projects in the Dry Creek and Curry Creek watersheds on the northwest side of the city, the city has also planned stormwater retention basins in the Al Johnson Wildlife Area. The City of Roseville is proud to be investing in these groundbreaking projects to improve the quality of life for its citizens.
